Nourison has been a leading retailer in the floor covering market for more than 30 years, boasting more than 4,500 traditional, transitional, and contemporary area rug styles, as well as broadloom and custom carpeting for both residential and commercial spaces. In addition to their own signature collections, Nourison works closely with the top interior designers in the industry to offer rugs, carpets, and home accessories that meet every budget.
Something Digital upgraded Nourison.com from Magento 1 to the Magento 2 B2B Commerce Cloud, implementing the SD Commerce Accelerator theme.
We redesigned Nourison’s homepage, incorporating bold full-screen imagery to showcase their wealth of interior design photography and to introduce customers to their comprehensive product inventory. We also created new landing, digest, and detail pages for Nourison’s subsidiaries under the umbrella of Nourison.com, allowing the Nourison ecommerce team to house and manage all branches of their business under one content management system (CMS). Most importantly, all our designs leverage BlueFoot, which gives admins the ability to drag-and-drop interchangeable design elements, schedule updates in advance, and customize each subsite to have their own distinct content and look and feel.
In addition to CMS pages, SD designed a custom site header, which follows customers on scroll and links them to shoppable categories and to their family of brands. To determine this navigational structure, we conducted an Information Architecture audit, assessing analytics data for search terms, page traffic, and filter usage. Not only did we successfully prioritize filters, but also, we implemented multi-select filtering so that customers have more flexibility when narrowing down the product set for any given category.
Additional marketing efforts include configuring Bazaar Voice to power user generated reviews, targeting customers with recently viewed products, and kicking off a digital marketing project to manage paid search and social advertising.
