Josh Algeo

Josh is from Charleston, SC. When he’s not working on technical requirements, he’s living a double life as an amateur farmer. He enjoys doing anything outside, especially if it involves water, particularly surfing, kayaking, and fishing.  He is a self-proclaimed foodie, with an affinity for spice, shellfish, and craft beers.

Director of Customer Success

SD is looking for a Director of Customer Success with 6+ years of experience working across agency, retail and wholesale roles. Qualified candidates will have experience creating and executing a strategic plan for a digital b2c or b2b business.

WE’LL NEED YOU TO

  • Lead Gen Responsibilities: Partnership, Marketing, Thought Leadership:
    • Support SD marketing through thought leadership efforts: blogging, white papers, speaking, conference attendance, organization membership, and certifications
    • Strong focus on merchant readiness, maturity, planning and execution
    • Provide big picture planning assistance and advisory services to merchants starting to consider a platform or agency change
    • Expand and build strong partnerships with entities within the Magento and broader Ecommerce ecosystem
    • Support SD marketing and sales efforts by contributing ideas to meetings, pitches and proposals
  • Sales Opportunity Responsibilities:
    • Provide strategic guidance to merchant prospects during pre-sales process
    • Direct work with merchants to identify and document project requirements
    • Collaborate with SD’s service delivery team to develop the solution and budget for each new opportunity
    • Develop and deliver proposals, budgets and timelines that respond to client requirements
    • Work closely with SD’s creative and development teams to contribute to UI, UX, digital marketing, and technical solutions for client engagements
    • Participate in the sales cycle to outline and define project requirements that are accounted for in estimate and integrated into SOWs
  • Sales-Delivery Transition Responsibilities:
    • Prepare merchant team for undertaking re-platform project with SD
    • Conduct a pre-discovery meeting to assess readiness and align expectations
    • Advise merchant of areas of weakness and recommend an approach to strengthen
    • Identify and formalize client objectives and help to align SD’s services with these plans
    • Attend initial discovery meetings and serve as an [advocate]
  • Merchant Resource Responsibilities:
    • Serve as a resource for delivery and sales team in working with merchants at various stages of maturity including scheduled business reviews
    • Provide ongoing service for certain clients throughout the sales cycle, site production engagement, and ongoing support of their ecommerce business
    • Work closely with SD’s SEG team to provide ongoing analysis and reporting on ecommerce traffic, revenue, ROI, and opportunities

you must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior agency experience in a trusted advisor role
  • Proven track record of delivering successful interactive and ecommerce sites
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

Tony Ciarelli

Tony is a Southern California native who enjoys spending time with his family and playing beach volleyball with his friends. Tony’s other interests include listening to the Grateful Dead, watching the Yankees, Lakers and USC Trojans, and hanging out with his wife (not necessarily in that order).

Brittany is a huge foodie and you can find her searching for the best poke bowl in town. If she’s not eating you can find her hanging with her Siberian Husky or lifting heavy things in the gym.
