LMAGreetings from sunny Orlando! We’re stationed at booth 118 for the Legal Marketing Association’s Annual Conference. Swing by for some orange candy and a chance to win a Flip cam. Come on, who can pass up a chance to meet Mickey at Disney World?!

Theodora and Callum

Yesterday we launched the new website for emerging fashion brand Theodora & Callum. This accessories-based line is the latest project from two major players in the fashion and entertainment industries: Stefani Greenfield and Desiree Gruber.

Theodora & Callum’s website is more than just an online store. We incorporated multiple blog extensions into the eCommerce platform so that Stefani and Desiree can share their latest inspiration, news, and creative ideas for ways to wear their products.

Bringing this site to life was a highly collaborative process. Thanks to everyone at Theodora & Callum who poured their efforts into this process. Cheers and happy Fashion Week!

Magento Imagine

Greg and Mike are headed to the Magento Imagine eCommerce Worldwide Conference in Los Angeles.  Billed as a 2-day smorgasbord for all things Magento, it’s also an industry event that offers new insights, best practices, and strategies for growing eCommerce businesses. I’m sure Mike and Greg will learn a great deal and have lots to then contribute to SD’s clients.

Have fun in the sun, fellas. We’re bracing for a winter storm back at the office!

NYC Arts NYC Arts

SD worked with Alliance for the Arts to create a free iPhone app that brings cultural  happenings around New York City to your fingertips. The app provides GPS-based functionality that allows users to “Find events nearby” wherever they are in New York City’s five boroughs, as well as search for events by category, neighborhood and organization.

Discover something new in your neighborhood! Download the app from the  iTunes store or the NYC ARTS website. It’s the only app that covers entire NYC arts scene.

This project dovetails with another SD/Alliance for the Arts collaboration: a web application that lets users customize an embeddable widget for their websites.

I recently transitioned roles within the Interactive group from Project Manager to Manager, Online Marketing and Digital Strategy. This expands the Interactive services to include content strategy, search engine optimization and marketing (SEO/SEM), social media, and display advertising. These services are not new to me – they were areas of focus before I joined SD a little over a year ago. And in fact, most of them aren’t even new to SD, because we’ve been advising clients on content, SEO, and online marketing best-practices since we’ve been building websites. But we recognize that there is an increase in demand for expertise along with the growth and importance of online marketing and social media overall. So now it’s official: we’re experts.

This graphic summarizes our philosophy on the most essential elements of online marketing. I will expand on some of these in future posts. Or better yet, contact us if you’re interested in learning more.
